In January 2024 we started our 1st TD Meetup as a monthly event. 12 months later we are celebrating our 12th episode with topics ranging from AI to TD to technical interviews. Subscribe to our TD Newsletter to join future events.

This year we had fantastic guests who talked about their unique careers and positions. For now, the 21 Artist Show is on hiatus and will return when it's ready for another season. Don't worry, we'll keep the chatter going in the meantime with the TD Meetup and other events.

We continue our journey to cover all the major DCCs with Python. One of the most requested masterclasses in 2024 was Python for Houdini. So we delivered:

To keep the content fresh, engaging and evergreen, we're dedicated to constantly updating it including updating over 100 videos and resources files.

Live Q&A
At the heart of each cohort are our weekly live Q&As with the cohort community and the opportunity to look answer any relevant question.
Breakroom sessions allow students to collaborate and prepare for the event.
Live coding challenges participants and shows the reality of script development.
The final presentation in week 9 allows students to present their final application to the entire group and share it with our alumni.
English Subtitles
Occasionally we have been asked to add subtitles to our videos for easier understanding. After a week of re-uploading all content prior to 2024, this is now possible.
Now you'll be able to use (generated) English subtitles for each of our Masterclass and Course chapters. The subtitles are pretty accurate and will greatly improve the understanding of the content, especially for people who still struggle with English or like to read along.
Higher Resolution
Python for Houdini is the first Masterclass to be presented in 2K from our usual Full HD. All future videos in our masterclasses, courses, and coaching will be recorded in 2K or higher for the best viewing experience.
Plex is an open source pipeline for visual effects, animation, and games. It was originally created to provide code and documentation for future pipelines. Recently, we started working on version 3 of Plex to take it to the next level and compete with any other pipeline on the market - only ours is free.
Interesting: Plex has also been added to the Arctic Code Vault in 2020 for code preservation.

We're dedicated to creating and maintaining the best learning content for technical directors and Python users in visual effects, animation and games. That means we are committed to creating new free and paid content, covering all the topics that are important to these roles, and maintaining the quality and currency of current content.
